Chronology is a Tier 9 Raiding guild on the Permafrost server.

It’s pretty simple, we play this game to have fun and we like to do it efficiently and to the best of our abilities.

Rules

#1 Don’t be dumb. A little common sense goes a long way.

Maturity

All of our members are expected to behave in a mature manner. While joking and silliness is okay, temper tantrums in guild chat or constant uses of leet speak or profanity is not something welcomed in Chronology. Guild chat can be colorful at times, so please be aware of that.

Grouping & Self Sufficiency

If you need help with something or just have a question never be afraid to ask. However, please keep in mind that others maybe not always be in a position to help you right away. Pre-planning is always advised and our forums are a great tool for that. Know that you are expected to work on your mains on off raid nights. It’s your responsibility to keep your mains up to par with our raiding standards. It’s not the guilds job to outfit your main, it’s yours.

Pick Up Raid Policy

We have no problem if you chose to go on a pick up raid if it’s not our regular raid nights. However, please be aware of lock out timers. If you are constantly unable to raid with us due to a lock out timer being active from a PUR, your raiding privileges will be revoked. Please check with a member of the RT before attending PUR’s.

Botting

If you are a botter, don’t bother to apply to Chronology.

Guilding Outside of Chronology

Being guilded on an alt outside of Chronology is frowned upon. If you are raiding with Chronology it is expected you will not have other raiding toons in other raiding guilds. We expect all of our members to give 100% to Chronology.

Loot

If you are in a group that is all Chronology members, it is expected that the group participate in the idea of need before greed.

If someone loots an item in a group where you are not present, and you are interested in that item, please contact that person using /tell. Do not call them out in guild chat. Our members are very generous about donating Masters; please do not put them on the spot.

For Raids:

Chronology uses an attendance based point system when it comes to raid loot. Each member will accrue points for: being on time for raids, during the raid, and first kills.

**Please note: The leadership reserves the right to default loot if they feel it's necessary. Also, they may determine that some loot will be distributed among certain classes.

Loot priority will be based on the following scale:

Mains > Raid Eligible > Recruit > Raid Eligible Alt > Mute

The only exception is patterns and our specified "Alt zone of the month". Non-Raid alts are added into the equation after Raid Eligible Alts, so it would look like this:

Mains > Raid Eligible > Recruit > Raid Eligible Alt > Non-Raid Alts > Sold

Alts

Pre-approved Raid Eligible alts are welcome to raid with Chronology.

Recruits

New recruits are not eligible for loot during the recruitment period. Recruits will accrue points during their recruiting period, but will not be able to spend them until they are a full member.

Exception: If all current Raiders and Raid Eligible mains on the raid are not interested in the item and the item is No Drop, you will be allowed to place a bid on the loot.

Spells

Adepts are generally transmuted as they drop, if they drop. Masters will be handled during the raid. You must be able to scribe your master at the time it drops, otherwise it goes to the guild bank.

All masters not needed or “reserved”, will be sold or muted.

****Note: You will not be able to loot masters on a raid if you do not have your spell list posted and up to date.

Misc Items (merchant junk) will be sold and the money deposited into the guild funds.

Mains

In Chronology, we believe that leveling and gearing up your main character should be priority. Upon joining Chronology, you will be asked to declare one “main” character, over any alts you have guilded. Main characters are designated mainly for determining loot on raids. Please see the loot rules for more information on alts on raids. The character that you apply to the guild with will be considered your main, unless otherwise specified to the leadership.

Alts

There is no limit to the number of alts you may have in Chronology. However, please be aware that after 60 days of no play, alts will be removed from the guild.

Raid Alts: To be tagged as a raiding alt, the alt must meet the minimum requirements set for all raiders. Please see a member of the leadership for more information.

Ranks

Chronology uses the following ranks to keep our roster organized:
Guild Leader
Officer
Leadership Alt
Raid Team (Raid leaders, evaluation, planning)
Raider – (Raiding Mains)
Member – (Non-Raiding Members)
Alt (Raid Alts, Alts and Tradeskill Alts – Please specify your alt via the guild tool)
Recruit

Members who disappear and do not notify the leadership will be removed after 60 days of no play.

Raiding Members who do not raid for 30 days, will be removed from our raiding roster. If there is an open raid spot for their class on our roster upon their return, they can then be added back to the raiding roster with leadership approval.

Application Process

All applicants are required to have their EQ2 Players Profile for their Main and Alts unlocked. Once you have been invited to the guild, your profile only need be unlocked to guild members.

Applicants will apply via our forums. Once an application is received, it will be reviewed and the applicant contacted by a member of the leadership or a Guild Recruiter.

Raiding Applicants will be evaluated over the course of 10 raids before they will be considered for full membership. Applicants who are not interested in raiding are held to a 15 day evaluation period before being considered for full membership. During the recruitment period, recruits will be reviewed on multiple points and member feedback. Recruits are encouraged to participate in guild chat, guild activities, and get to know others members through those same avenues. The idea is to not only make sure you are a good fit for Chronology, but that Chronology is a good fit for you.

If during the recruitment period, a recruit for whatever reason is not able to play, it is requested that they post on the forums or contact a member of the leadership (via PM’s on the forums or in game mail) and let them know they will be absent from the game. Once a recruit returns to the game, their recruiting process will then start over with the above process.

If a recruit disappears and the leadership doesn’t know why, after 10 days absence they will be removed from the guild. Once that recruit returns to the game, they are welcome to contact a member of the leadership to discuss their situation, and possibly be re-invited to the guild as a recruit.

Real Life Friends and Family

Real life friends and family are welcome in Chronology and have a different set of recruiting rules.

Real Life Friends and Family are welcome into the guild and will not get turned down based on class or level. They will be held to a 15 day recruitment period, and their recruitment process will be the same.

RL Friends & Family & Raiding

Chronology likes to keep our raiding roster small and therefore we only recruit what is needed to make our raids successful. If your RL Friend or Family member is interested in raiding, and is not on our Raiding Needs for Recruitment, they need to be aware they are not needed for raiding purposes.

Voice Chat

Currently we use Ventrillo for all raiding purposes.
Voice chat can and will get colorful at times, just a warning.
To set up your Ventrillo access, please speak to Sinvaryen or Happyfuntime.

Forums

Participation on our forums is not required, though it is highly encouraged. We use the forums as a way to communicate raids, events, game information and important information pertaining to the guild. We ask that members please check the forums on a daily basis to keep up to date with the guild happenings. There will be none of this “I didn’t know because I didn’t read the forums”. It’s your responsibility to read the forums and keep yourself up to date with guild news.

Please contact Niah should you have any problems registering or accessing our forums.
